Thank You.

I just wanted to take the time to send out a mass thank you to everyone that has reached out over the past week, sending well wishes my way.

The outpouring of support from the community has been very humbling, and I am so appreciative to be a part of such a noble group of people.

For those that did not know, last Monday, I aggravated an old injury to the point of having to go in the following day and have major surgery.  Pretty scary stuff when a doctor touches you and says things like…

“That’s not supposed to be there…”

“Boy that feels funny…”

*gulp*

It makes you start assessing things pretty harshly.

Basically I had an old injury from sports that really came to a head over the last few years and got to a danger point last week.  It’s totally my own fault for not taking care of it sooner, and that alone has led to further complications taking the situation out of the scope of “routine,” and will likely require further followup surgery.

Thank you to my teammates here at NetApp for making themselves available to assist whenever needed.

Thank you to the one person that was actually there with me in recovery (you know who you are).   It meant the world to me that you were there.

Thank you to my mom for basically doing EVERYTHING for me over the last week, as I was pretty much immobilized.

Thank you to all of my readers and vTweeps for the well-wishes I received via email, DM, and even a few phone calls.

Thank you.

The worst part is that it couldn’t have come at a more inopportune time, as I am now going to miss out on vOdgeball, if I even get to go to the conference at all (pending followups over the next couple of weeks).  I will definitely keep everyone posted.

Your thoughts have kept my spirits up, and I am extremely grateful.
